“Halloween Trick or Treat” –
BrittiCares is honored to participate in this Annual Halloween
Event for oncology, hematology, and bone marrow
patients/families, hosted by Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
This is an exciting way for hospital staff and various
organizations to ensure that children who are hospitalized
during Halloween have an opportunity to trick or treat, play
games, receive prizes, and celebrate with other children. What a
great way to give back, and enjoy the patients and their
families during this fun filled and uplifting occasion!
“Thanksgiving with My Family”
– BrittiCares will host an elaborately decorated dinner
party (which will include gifts bags, raffles, and face
painting), for oncology, hematology, and bone marrow patients of
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles who are scheduled for
treatment/hospitalized on Thanksgiving Day. This particular
event is especially important to BCI because so often these
children are unable to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with their
entire family. Together, patients and their families will be
able to celebrate the true meaning of this holiday, which is to
be thankful and appreciate life, and the love of family and
friends. We will serve approximately 160 people including
patients, their siblings, parents, other family members, and
hospital staff. For children who are unable to leave their beds,
BrittiCares volunteers will bring the celebration to them. Each
child will receive a delicious thanksgiving meal at their
bedside, along with a gift bag, and face painting.
