 “Patient Party Times” is a fun filled
event for all ages. Hospital stays are usually not the
greatest experience for anyone, and it can be an
extremely emotional challenge for kids.
Most children with cancer are faced with lengthy
hospital visits, due to the need for aggressive
treatment. Love, compassion, and support from doctors,
hospital staff, family and friends usually make for a
more tolerable stay. However, the sense of loneliness
and the unknown remain a reality.
BrittiCares International offers “Patient Party Times”
as a way for an enjoyable social outlet filled with
smiles, laughter, music, musicians, clowns; face
painting, character drawings, arts and crafts, and much
more. All children with cancer, their families and
hospital staff are welcome. BCI will ensure all patients
experience the fun by mobilizing the party for those
that have bed restrictions.
Social outlets are recognized by hospital staff as
inspiring, motivating and uplifting. Positive emotions
are essential to any healing process, and can allow the
patient to exude a better outlook toward their illness.
